A comment on The Never-ending Debate: The Legal Drinking Age in the U.S.

I didn't like the way the federal government made states change their laws and the way we make 18 year olds go to war, but that being said there is an issue with the saving of lives. Good overall look at the issue.

A comment on Gainesville Florida Law Enforcment Cracks Down on Drunk Driving

The title should read LEO out to raise badly needed revenue to save state from recession. have you noticed the increased number of these DUI saturations? Ever wonder how someone could get 14 arrests for this charge and still be driving? I have a theory... Cant pay if behind bars, imagine how much they have collected from all the ones that have been arrested for this Law. the LE Agencies are having to face budget cuts and have put themselves into a position of paying for an early retirement force that they cannot afford. That means they are having to come up with other pathways of revenue because the tax payers cant afford anything else from the low income most of them are making.Did you know that a LEO starts out making over $45,000 a year. In New Jersey they start out making $70,000 Got these numbers from job descriptions folks. The DUI Law has been used successfully in the past because while it possibly has saved lives it has definitely created millions of dollars for the state. I know that loosing a loved one is a terrible thing, does that give the government the right to destroy families that have the misfortune of having a drinker in it? If something is not done then America will be a country of 80% drunk drivers because those of you who do not understand how this Law is being used, will someday be on the wrong side of the car door at a check point or in a saturation. You see they dont just arrest you if you are drunk, they arrest you at even the smell of alcohol. the drives they do and the Law itself is vague and misleading. If you drink any amount of alcohol do not drive. Be Safe...

Why dont you tell people the truth, That is does not matter how much they have had to drink. you know you are going to arrest them and charge them with DUI no matter how much they have had even if it is just one. this Law is not a fair Law and you do not treat people fairly.
